FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is it like to work with you on a wedding day?
I am there to help capture your day while also doing my part to keep us on time, according to the timeline, maintaining communication, and creating a stree-free environment. Sometimes it is helping the groomsmen put on boutonnieres, helping organize a last-minute special first look with a military cousin who is surprising you at your wedding, or grabbing those extra shots of the bride dancing with grandma (who they didn't think would be there).
  • What can we expect from our experience with you?
I strive to provide clear, fast communication; easy-going and fun directions for posing; and quick delivery of final edited images.
  • What is the benefit of booking with you for both photo & video?
First, you get an experienced team who know how to do both photo and video. A team who sometimes know what each other is thinking without having to say a word. Second, booking both services double the coverage you will receive while also providing different mediums. Video goes beyond photo to combine movement and audio into what otherwise would be a photo. The best parts for video are: first look (if you do one), the ceremony, and toasts. There are also little moments that can be added into your video like letter reading, gifts, sunset, drone, etc.
  • Do you do drone work?
As of September 2021, I am adding drone to my offerings. I have completed the FAA certification and look forward to creating special shots using my Mavic Air 2.
  • What education have you invested in to hone your craft?
When I decided to upgrade cameras, I started with a class specifically on the ins and outs of that camera. Then I expanded into posing and lighting classes by Amy and Jordan Demos and Katelyn James. I've also taken classes relating to family photography, boudoir, and running a business. Currently, I am studying videography and drone as well.
  • How would you describe your editing style?
My editing style is vivid, true to color. I love nature colors so I don't want to mute or distort the true to life color that was there that day. Yes, I do turn a few edits into black and white for a classic, timeless look.
  • Do you travel?
    Absolutely! I love to travel.
  • Do you offer hourly coverage vs collections?
Yes I do offer hourly coverage and collections. See Investment page for info. Have other questions, let's chat! :)
  • What are the benefits of booking with you?
Quick email response, frequent communication touch points, short turn-around time on your final gallery, easy to use gallery, file backup system, team of professionals who enjoy working together
  • Do you shoot other things besides weddings?
Absolutely! I also photograph families, seniors, real estate and more. If you're interested in boudoir, check out lavishpearlboudoir.com
  • How long will it take to get my photos/videos?
For weddings, you will receive the final gallery in 4 weeks or less.
  • How do we get our photos/videos?
Your photos/videos will be delivered to you in an online gallery via email. From the gallery you can download high resolution files, share and print anywhere.
