Sun shining. Light breeze on occasion. People milling around putting the finishing touches together. It was a beautiful day in Coos Bay.Then the bride arrives onsite to put on her dress. She and her tribe retreat to the house to finish getting her ready. Time seems slow and fast all at once. Her nervousness is palpable. Finally she is ready. She is given her bouquet and heads outside to see her father for a father/daughter first look. Her father hugs her and she fights off tears. Guests are arriving and she tries to hide. And then it is time. Time to walk the aisle and become a wife.
This wedding had several special moments: first look at bouquet, first look with father, the first dances, etc. Sometimes brides worry about everything going well that they forget that they need to enjoy the day. This is your day. Delegate to others. Remember whatever happens, the most important thing is you are marrying your best friend. Then focus on enjoying the day.
Dear Catherine and David,
May you always remember that you chose each other. You are partners in this life. Two have become one. No longer do your decisions only impact you. Keep each other close as you journey forward. TOGETHER. Treasure this time. Each day is a gift.
Best wishes on your future,
Stephanie
