At Home Wedding ~ Tatsiana & Peter ~ Florence, OR

The rooms quieted. He stepped up for his turn at the microphone to give his toast. His daughter, the bride, stood next to him ready to translate. He read from his notes in Russian. Breaking every so often for her to translate in English. His words directed to the groom.

"My soul is quiet/not worried as I'm giving her to you." His words firm but sweet as he entrusted his new son-in-law to take care of his daughter. The bride sharing a sweet look with her new husband as she translated the words he spoke. This was one of those wonderful moments to see love transcend any cultural/language barriers. Everyone here was family. Everyone. And by the end of the night, I felt like myself and my second shooter were too.
