What is Your LOVE Language?

With Valentines' just around the corner, I wanted to take a moment and ask you what your love language is. Maybe you have no idea what I am talking about. Each of us has a primary love language, a way that makes us feel loved. You and your significant other might not have the same love language.

Quality time, gifts, words of affirmation, touch, and acts of service are the five love languages. Now maybe you can guess what your primary love language is. You might also be surprised. If you are curious to find out your love language, you can take the quiz!

The biggest takeaway I had from this book is realizing that just because my love language might be words of affirmation that doesn't mean that my friend might not appreciate acts of service instead of verbally affirming her as a hard worker. We tend to show love in the way we would wish to receive it. But that might not be the way the other person "hears" love. In a relationship it is even more imperative to understand what makes your significant other tick. What makes you feel loved? What makes them feel loved? This will in turn help you show/communicate love in a way they understand.
